INFORMATION

As an AAS member, you are entitled to vote at the annual meeting for up to seven board members. Also, you are eligible to run for a seat on the board.

If you are interested in running for a seat on the board, the deadline to submit your Statement of Intent is Saturday, November 4, 2023. Resumes are not required. The Statement of Intent can be completed online by clicking the link below. Additionally, paper copies of the form are available in our office. If you mail your intent, please know that if it is not received by November 6th, it cannot be accepted.

It’s important to note that all twenty-one board members are volunteers and serve 3-year terms. It is expected that each duly elected Board Member of the Armada Agricultural Society will attend all board meetings, the general membership meeting and complete all assigned duties. If a board member has more than four (4) unexcused absences during said meetings in one year or fails to complete their assigned duties, the Board member may be removed from the board by a 2/3 vote of the members of the Board of Directors present at a Board of Directors' meeting.  All board members will be duly notified in writing, of said meeting. Fair board members serve on various committees throughout the year according to their interests, specialties, and experience.

The Annual Meeting will be held December 4, 2023. The voting process will be DRIVE-THRU at the Armada Fair Grounds. Voting will be open from 5:30PM - 7:00PM. Candidates will be available for a meet and greet starting at 6:00PM in the Grange Hall. The Annual Meeting will begin at 6:30PM in the Grange Hall.
