HOLLY DAYS
INFORMATION
The 2024 Armada Holly Days Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024. The parade will begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
If you are interested in participating please fill out the application. Applicants may apply online, or download a paper application. Paper applications must be emailed or mailed by Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
Application information is needed by the deadline to complete the lineup, prep narrative for announcers, and purchase food. Your timely submission helps volunteers avoid taking time off work.
Prizes will be awarded to top floats!

ARRIVAL TIME & PLACE
The parade stages on the Armada Fair Grounds, Parking Lot, located at 24223 Armada Center Rd, Armada, MI 48005. The parade begins and ends at the same place. This will be the only gate used for entry. At this time, you will be given your lineup number and instructions for line up.
ENTRY JUDGING
Begins promptly at 5:00PM. Entries will be lined up in the parade order upon entering the gate.
GASOLINE
You may want to have an extra can of gas for your generator, limit to 5 gallons please.
REFRESHMENTS
While you are waiting for the parade to start hot dogs and hot chocolate will be served at Grange Hall between 4PM - 6PM. A restroom on the fairgrounds will be open for use.
RULES
No live Santa’s & No political entries & No candy
No live fire on floats
For safety reasons, no pedestrians will be allowed in the parade without the consent of the parade committee.
No candy or other objects shall be thrown from the parade vehicles/floats.
All parade entries must be operated in a safe manner at all times.
Parade organizers reserve the right to remove any parade entry operated in an unsafe or dangerous manner.

Entry judging begins promptly at 5:00PM. Entries will be lined up in parade order upon entering the fairgrounds.
Space assignments are given out as you enter the staging area. There is enough parking on the fairgrounds for
all participants.
To accommodate entries that need to be assembled or decorated on the staging area, we will allow vehicles that
are not directly participating in the parade to enter the staging area until 5:00PM for the purpose of dropping off
equipment or supplies. These vehicles should not remain in the staging area for longer than 15 minutes and must
be moved out of the staging area by 5:30 PM.
Your driver and all participants must be back in the staging area by 6:00PM.
You may want to have an extra can of gas for your generator, limit the size to 5-gallon jugs please.
If your entry includes animals, you must clean up after them both in the staging area and during the parade. This
will be strictly enforced.
The Armada Fairgrounds Property is a smoke-free and alcohol-free zone. The consumption or possession of ANY
alcoholic, marijuana or any illegal substance(s) is forbidden by any participant or entry during the event. Float
Drivers must be 18 or older.
Nothing, including candy, may be thrown from entries!
All music, bands on floats etc. Must be approved. Please play/sing as much as possible.
Please maintain a distance of 40 feet (2 car lengths) from the unit in front of you. Spacing between each unit will
be enforced by parade officials, units are required to close the gap between itself and the preceding units when
directed by parade officials. If you are unable to maintain requested spacing, your unit will be asked to exit the
parade route before completion.
While you are waiting for the parade to start light refreshments will be available in the Grange Hall provided by the
Armada Agricultural Society. A restroom on the fairgrounds will be open for use.
The Armada Agricultural Society “Armada Fair” or its Parade Committee reserves the rights to eliminate or
remove from the parade any entry which refuses to follow all rules, regulations, restrictions or instructions from
parade officials and/or police. Please remember this is a family event and appropriate attire and behavior is
required.
